Senior Scientist/Project Manager, Manufacturing
This
is a senior level position requiring significant
experience in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The ideal candidate would have experience manufacturing
parenteral clinical trial material and/or finished
products with a pharmaceutical company.
Minimum requirements:
• A comprehensive understanding of process scale up, manufacturing equipment, and sanitary design are required.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Detailed knowledge of cGMP regulations.
• The ability to write SOPs, equipment documents, and validation protocols.
• BS/MS degree in an applicable scientific field and 8+ years of relevant experience. PhD candidates with 3+ years experience also considered.

Senior Scientist, Product Development (Formulation)
This
is a senior level position requiring laboratory
experience to participate in the preparation,
development, and characterization of novel,
polymer-based pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Minimum requirements:
• Sound scientific background.
• Experience in a variety of standard
formulation/characterization techniques and
instrumentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• BS/MS degree in applicable science (chemistry,
pharmaceutical sciences, polymer sciences or
engineering) with 8+ years experience required. PhD
candidates with 3+ years experience also considered.
Preferred candidates
will have experience with:
• Pharmaceutical formulations or controlled release
technologies.
• Designing, conducting and evaluating results from
experiments and research programs.
• Method development.
• Peptides, proteins or other biologics.
• Process development and scale-up.
• cGMP and/or GLP regulations.
Senior Scientist, Drug Delivery Research
This is a senior level laboratory position requiring significant research experience in the field of organic chemistry and novel drug delivery technologies. The ideal candidate will have a varied research experience in the synthesis, preparation, characterization, and development of novel, polymer- or lipid-based drug delivery technologies. In addition to these technical capabilities, applicants should have a solid scientific background, strong scientific curiosity and creativity, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. Applicants must have a relevant degree in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, polymer science, or chemistry along with relevant industrial experience. Additionally, applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The applicant will have a PhD in a relevant field with at least 3+ years pharmaceutical research experience.
Manager of QC Microbiology
Brookwood is currently constructing a brand new Microbiology Laboratory. This position will be involved in the set up of this new laboratory and hiring of staff members to support this laboratory. The principal functions of this position are to manage the QC Microbiology department; oversee the cGMP testing in order to ensure product safety; lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams for product development, technology transfer, and raw materials planning.
Scientist, Product Development (Formulation)
This position requires relevant laboratory experience to participate in the preparation, development, and characterization of novel, polymer-based pharmaceutical dosage forms. Applicants must have a sound scientific background with a relevant degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, polymer sciences, or engineering, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a variety of standard laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation. Preferred candidates will have experience with pharmaceutical formulations, controlled release technologies, or bioengineering; cGMP and GLP regulations; SOP practices; validation procedures; and/or characterization of biological drugs. BS degree in an applicable science field required. MS and PhD candidates also considered.
Intellectual Property Manager
The focus of this position is to manage the intellectual property portfolio of the company. Responsibilities include evaluating invention disclosures, working with technical staff to identify inventions and obtain patent protection, to interact with outside counsel to draft and review patent applications; and to manage the portfolio including expenses and timing. Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment. Minimum requirements include a BS or advanced degree in the natural sciences such as chemistry or biology or in engineering and experience with patents and trademarks; and a strong understanding of US and foreign patent prosecution processes. The ideal candidate will be either a patent agent or patent attorney. Experience reviewing contracts and pharmaceutical industry experience are a plus.
Information Technology Coordinator
This position
is responsible for the set up, configuration,
and support of internal and/or external networks, including
maintenance of all systems, applications, security, and network
configurations. The position requires technical expertise in
networks, computer hardware and software, interconnection and
interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, etc. Candidates
must be able to troubleshoot network performance issues and
maintain a disaster recovery plan. Qualified applicants must
be able to prepare and ensure appropriate network documentation
exists, including operational instructions. Applicants will be required
to participate in planning, evaluation, and coordinating installation
and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data
and/or voice communication networks. This position provides
technical support and guidance to users and therefore must be
familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and
procedures. Candidates applying for this position must rely on
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a
variety of tasks. This position may lead and direct the work of
others by coordinating third-party maintenance for network and
telephone equipment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
expected. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in area of
specialty in the field or an associate’s degree, plus 3-5 years
of relevant experience.
